The NEW Software Industry Conference
ISV Con
July 13-15, 2012
|
You know how to write software.
Selling it is the challenge.
That's where ISV Con comes in.
ISVCon is a conference for ISVs to get together, learn and grow.
It's ISVs sharing their knowledge. Learning from one another. Meeting new people.
It's people helping you with the things you may not know, or aren't very good at (yet).
The speakers at ISVCon are other ISVs, or people who work with them.
They have done it themselves, have had others help them, still get help from others - and help others in return.
Come to ISVCon and hang out with these ISVs (and some newbies too).
ISVCon includes people who have been in business for years, people who are just starting out,
people who are full-time ISVs, people who work for someone
else and run their business on the side - all varieties of ISVs.
Come to learn, spend time with other ISVs, and have fun.
Go home educated, energized, and ready to make more money with your software business.
Full Conference Friday-Sunday

What's an ISV?
An Independent Software Vendor. Software developers
who sell software that they (usually) write themselves.
Some use the term
"MicroISV", which means very small companies... sometimes only the software developer
alone, sometimes him/her and few partners, or maybe him and his reflection in the mirror.
Often, ISVs are self-funded start-ups. They don't have big investors, instead they have an idea,
a computer, and a will to work for themselves.
