Over the years, that small gathering evolved into a more formally-organized conference, but at heart, it is still the same. This conference is a meeting of software developers and marketers, who get together to learn new things, share what they know, and have a good time.
Blue jeans and comfortable clothes are the order of the day. New people are made welcome. And at the end of the conference, people go home energized and excited about what they learned and the people they met.
While it is not as well-known as some other conferences for ISVs, it is one of the most appreciated. Most people who come to this conference return in following years. It is one of the most cost-effective educational and networking opportunities available to ISVs.
Because ISVCon is owned and operated by a non-profit organization, costs are kept as low as possible in an effort to make the conference affordable to as many ISVs as possible, especially start-ups and MicroISVs.
ISVCon is put on by the Association of Software Professionals – ASP. ASP bought the rights to this conference in 2011 from another non-profit organization. The conference was previously known as the Software Industry Conference – SIC.
